Last of Summer Trip to Crested Butte

Wellll... this one started with a bang- or rather a blow <out>! It was literally the first time either of us had changed a flat (um, thanks mom and dad lol!). I had all these pent up fears about how challenging it would be, but in reality it only took about 10 minutes! Woop. But - it added about 3 hours to the trip because we had to drive as slow as sloths move.

Our first day there we made a quick trek up the face of the mountain to soak in the view

Little Breck and I playing with our yoga poses on Eagle lake. A spooky drive up several miles of a skinny dirt pass and you end up here, just a short walk gets you on this gorgeous lake with phenomenal views. I'm pretty sure I scored a raw piece of silver here too, just by chance! (The little town of Gothic was a silver mining town in it's hay day)

Smiley and Brecken looking all sweet... little do you know that they are counting down 3, 2... 1 to both jump into the freezing water. And - she didn't do it! Lol
